                Air New Zealabd have announced that while previously customers travelling without checked bags were able to proceed directly to the boarding gate and check-in there by scanning their mobile app on boarding, this is no longer possible from Monday 1 July 2019.

                Online check-in continues to be available for all customers from 24 hours prior to departure the Air New Zealand mobile app and via airnewzealand.co.nz. Please note, final check-in completion time is 30 minutes prior to departure and we strongly recommend customers allow themselves plenty of time by arriving at the airport well before check-in closes.

                Check-in and bag drop for all customers travelling on a domestic jet or regional service must be completed no later than 30 minutes prior to departure. This applies to all customers, including those travelling without checked baggage.

                Flights will be closed 30 minutes prior to departure and any customers not checked in at this time will be unable to travel. This also means customers travelling on Flexitime and Flexidate fares will also be unable to change to any flights departing within 30 minutes.
