Singapore Airlines today announced that it is suspending its Wellington to Canberra service and and instead will launch a new Wellington to Melbourne service.
Following the final flight between Wellington and Canberra on Monday 30 April 2018, the new flight will begin operations on the Wellington-Melbourne-Singapore and vice versa routing from Thursday 3 May 2018.
The service will continue to operate four times a week, however the days of operation from Wellington will change to Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Flight timings will also change with an early afternoon departure from Wellington arriving into Singapore late that same evening, following an 80-minute transit through Melbourne.
The return flight will depart Singapore earlier in the evening and arrive in Wellington at lunchtime the following day after a 110-minute transit in Melbourne.
Customers who have booked prior to travel via Canberra from 1 May onwards will be contacted by Mix & Match to organise alternate travel arrangements.
